Seconds Save Lives
Cardiac issues are the leading cause of death in southern Alberta. We’re raising $1.2 million to significantly boost local cardiac care.
Our history.
Healthcare in southeastern Alberta has always been a team effort. Long before our Foundation existed, the people of Medicine Hat rallied behind their healthcare system. In the 1880s, hospital auxiliaries – often led by doctors’ wives – worked tirelessly to support patient care.
These grassroots efforts laid the foundation for a spirit of giving that continues to shape our region to this day.
Our present.
Recognizing the increasing demands on local hospitals, the Medicine Hat Health Foundation was founded in 1996 to ensure the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital had dedicated support for enhancements beyond basic services.
What began as a local initiative to improve hospital care has since grown into a movement that transforms healthcare across southeastern Alberta. Our ongoing efforts prove the power of collective action, and together with our community, we’re ensuring that everyone across our region has access to the care they deserve – now and for generations to come.
